Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Shifts: Multiple AM and PM shifts available

Pay: £14.50 – £18.31 per hour (including allowances)

About the Role

Our client, a major logistics and transport provider working with some of the UK’s most recognisable brands, is recruiting Class 1 Drivers to join their expanding Doncaster operation.

Based on a key distribution site in Doncaster, this role includes a mix of store deliveries, RDC runs, warehouse movements and general trunking. You will work with a modern fleet and support wider network operations as needed.

AM Shifts

• Friday–Tuesday: 05:00–11:00
• Tuesday–Saturday: 05:00–11:00
• Thursday–Monday: 05:00–11:00
• Wednesday–Sunday: 05:00–11:00

PM Shifts

• Sunday–Thursday: 15:00–23:59
• Tuesday–Saturday: 15:00–23:59
• Friday–Tuesday: 15:00–23:59
• Thursday–Monday: 15:00–23:59
• Wednesday–Sunday: 15:00–23:59

Other shift patterns may be available — applicants are encouraged to enquire.

Pay Rates

• Mon–Fri Days: £14.50 per hour
• Mon–Fri Nights: £15.80 per hour
• Saturday & Sunday Days: £17.50 per hour
• Saturday & Sunday Nights: £18.00 per hour
• Bank Holidays: £18.31 per hour

(All rates include meal allowance and tier payments.)

Key Responsibilities

• Complete store deliveries, RDC runs, warehouse collections and trunking assignments
• Operate a range of Class 1 vehicles and trailers
• Conduct required manual handling and drop-and-swap work where needed
• Ensure safe and secure loading/unloading of goods
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Maintain compliance with Driver Hours, WTD and health & safety policies
• Communicate professionally with depot teams, customers and colleagues

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Valid CPC and Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DD/DR convictions)
• Understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Directive
• Able to perform vehicle safety checks and follow on-site protocols
• Good communication and reliability
