Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Shifts: AM & PM shifts available

Pay: £15.00 – £18.81 per hour (including allowances)

About the Role

Our client, a major logistics and transport business supplying some of the UK’s best-known retail and consumer brands, is recruiting Class 1 Drivers to join their team on a permanent basis.

This role is based at their large Daventry distribution campus and involves a mix of store deliveries, trunking and general haulage. You will be operating a modern fleet and supporting transport operations across the wider network when required.

AM Shifts

• Friday–Tuesday: 03:30, 06:30, 09:30
• Thursday–Monday: 02:00, 03:00, 05:30, 07:00
• Tuesday–Saturday: 01:30, 02:00
• Wednesday–Sunday: 03:00, 07:00
• Sunday–Thursday: 00:01
• Saturday–Wednesday: 08:30

PM Shifts

• Monday–Friday: 16:00, 17:00, 22:00–02:00
• Friday–Tuesday: 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 20:00, 20:30, 22:00, 23:30
• Wednesday–Sunday: 19:30, 20:00, 22:00
• Tuesday–Saturday: 16:30, 21:30, 23:00, 23:30
• Thursday–Monday: 22:30
• Sunday–Wednesday: 18:30

Pay Rates

• Mon–Fri Days: £15.00 per hour
• Mon–Fri Nights: £16.30 per hour
• Saturday & Sunday Days: £18.00 per hour
• Saturday & Sunday Nights: £18.50 per hour
• Bank Holidays: £18.81 per hour

(All rates include meal allowance and tier payments.)

Key Responsibilities

• Complete store deliveries, trunk routes and general haulage assignments.
• Operate a range of HGV Class 1 vehicles and trailers.
• Ensure all loads are transported safely and securely.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain compliance with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and site safety requirements.
• Provide excellent communication and customer interaction where required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 6 months Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
• Valid HGV C+E licence
• Valid DCPC and Tachograph Card
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DD/DR endorsements)
• Knowledge of Driver Hours & WTD legislation
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report issues
• Reliable, safety focused and professional
